The Problem
Imagine you want back a scene that you deleted two weeks ago. You start looking for it and find this:
You have to manually search for the file that contains it, then search for the scene, then copy/paste the sections you want back manually.
The Solution
In Arc Studio, all your changes are tracked automatically, and you can instantly display what has changed since a previous version.
Here is how it works:
- Open a script, or import one from Final Draft.
- Hit
Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + S
to create a new draft version – call it “First Draft”. - Now delete a scene, randomly add some new action lines, and edit some lines.
- In the sidebar, select “Drafts”, then click “First Draft” (from earlier), and select “Compare to current version”.
- You should see something like this.
- Find the scene that you deleted and select it with your mouse cursor. Click “Revert paragraph’s changes”.
- That’s it – if you go back to the Current version, you will see that the deleted scene is back.
- Compare to the usual flow.
